Hands-on cooking classes in Johannesburg

Our public cooking classes are designed for connection. Guests cook in social groups of four, creating an atmosphere that’s lively, collaborative, and unmistakably The Cookery. Each class features 15–18 unique recipes, and every guest receives the full recipe pack plus a taste of every dish prepared. We are the only venue in Johannesburg offering such an extensive, abundant menu in a single class – one of the reasons we remain the city’s highest-rated social cooking experience.

We can accommodate most dietary restrictions with a little advance planning, so chat to us before booking and we’ll guide you through the best options. All bookings are handled directly through our website. Our sessions run for four hours, with approximately two hours of hands-on cooking, followed by a sumptuous meal. Our public classes are perfect for date night, friends’ get-togethers, or for flying solo and meeting new people.
